Grill & Groove Fest
What started as a backyard get-together in 2023 has grown into Columbia's most-anticipated summer party. Every year, coworkers, vendors, business partners, neighbors, and families gather at a beautiful rural property on Old Sowell Mill Pike for an evening of fresh-grilled food, live Country/Bluegrass, and a fireworks show that rattles the whole valley.
This is not a company-sponsored event — just a bunch of people who love good food, great music, and big booms getting together to celebrate community.
One evening. All the good stuff.
Burgers, ribs, chicken, and all the classic sides — prepared fresh by Lloyd. No potluck — just come hungry.
Country & Bluegrass all evening from the covered porch stage. Guitars, drums, and the kind of music that makes you stomp your boots.
Dozens of cakes, hundreds of mortar tubes, synchronized electronic ignition, and a full 3-2-1 countdown finale that fills the sky. This is the real deal.
Castle-themed bounce house with water slide for the kids. Generator-powered and running all afternoon.
American flag cornhole boards, lawn games, glow sticks for the kids, and acres of open field to roam.
Wind down by the fire pit under the stars. Plus door prizes for adults and kids, announced from the stage!
Tents • Lawn chairs • Acres of open field • Beautiful Tennessee sunset views

Fireworks Setup Volunteers Needed
Every year, our fireworks crew races the clock to get dozens of multi-shot cakes, hundreds of mortar tubes, and a full electronic ignition harness staged across the field before dark. We need extra hands so the show goes off without a hitch!
📦 Carry and place cake boxes & mortar racks into position
🔌 Lay out blue electrical firing wires between stations
🚩 Place safety flags at marked positions
👍 Follow the fireworks lead's direction
⏰ Arrive by 2:00 PM on June 13
👟 Closed-toe shoes, clothes that can get dirty
💪 Able to carry heavy boxes across a grass field
⛔ 18+ only • Must stay sober during setup
🎉 No pyrotechnics experience required!
The fireworks lead handles all ignition connections. You just help stage the show.
Sign up in our Discord server — or reply to any email to let us know you can help
We also need help with general setup (tents, tables, chairs) and post-event cleanup. Every pair of hands makes a difference!
This is what your donations make possible.
